Social Media is the New Arté Povera
The project was first pitched as “Social Media is the New Arté Povera.” We all know what happened last time. Those edgelords became fascists.
The work is set within America’s Techocratic Neo–Guilded Age, in soloidarity with the US popular student movement for a Free Palestine and in solidarity with the people of Palestine.
The Cook Fellowship is a generous award for one fully funded masters degree at any US–based Instition of the scholar’s choice. The billionaire namesake of the foundation made his money in a rags–to–riches real estate scheme during America’s first Guilded Era, and is responsible in large part for propogating the boostraps myth in America.
I was identified by this funding body in the seventh grade, that’s twelve years old and sweaty, pimpled. They found me in some talent search for kids on food stamps by public guidance school councilors.
In my experience, bootstraps myths do nothing more than inspire subjects to dabble in bondage.
